Bought after lots of researching. Wanted as close to commercial grade as i could get without the $1500 price tag. This thing works amazing. Its a 20 bar not 15 bar like most the other small machines. Ive owned a couple cheap ones that usually last about 6 months. This one is going strong at 5 months and makes 2-3 quad shots a day. Note. Buy a knock box. You'll need it!!

I replaced the first one after five years. I purchased this unit, not even realizing all the updated features it had. Preinfussion. Makes incredible crema. Coffee tastes great The only small thing that is a little annoying is that the knob for the steamer is very slippery. It would've been nice to have some type of grip on it. Very very minor complaint. If you are in the market to buy one, check the model number so that you get the new model not the old one that I have it looks exactly the same.

I have been using mid-range Gaggia machines for more than 20 years. As my main machine needed maintenance, I bought this machine as an inexpensive backup. The espresso it makes (assuming the proper coffee fine grind) was really good. The frother produces a lot of pressure. I also appreciate the big thermometer dial on the front.

Compared to the Gaggia, the portafilter is super lightweight but still does a wonderful job.

I am super impressed.

One tip. If one wants to brew an espresso AFTER frothing, dial the froth setting to let off the extra pressure in the system and quickly brings down the temperature to espresso temp. The thermometer provides all the helpful feedback on one's progress.
