#1:Gaggia RI9380/46 Classic Pro Espresso Machine, Solid, Brushed Stainless Steel
Brilliant entry level machine
Plenty of customizations available. The community around this is the best selling point for this product. It takes a lot of time and effort for the community to get built. Which means that the company really cares. The parts are easy to repair and swap. There’s a learning curve involved but that’s the fun part. If you’re looking for a black box to just get good espresso, there are tons other good looking machines that produce decent results — ignore this. But if you really are looking to learn the art and add your own signature to the espresso— this one’s for you.
So happy to get real cappuccino at home.
This was what I expected. I am particular about my coffee and this, being manual, allows me the control that I need in order to make the coffee the way I like it. I know there were complaints about the coffee not being hot enough. If you let it warm up long enough it is quite hot. The light goes on and you can get hot coffee until it goes out. If the light goes out stop brewing and wait for it to heat up again. If keep brewing after the light goes off it is just warm water. It's pretty simple really. It seems that the longer you wait the hotter it gets...to a point. I'm pleased; it's what I expected and seems sturdy enough. I haven't gotten the foam quite right yet but I assume that it is still user error and I will get it down with practice and have a proper pitcher to use. If you like to push a button and have everything done for you without thinking, then this is probably not the machine for you. If you like to cook and have your coffee the way YOU want it then you will be happy with this machine.
I found my Espresso machinej
I have been looking for a very long time, I bought a De‘Longhorn ECP3120 15 Bar Espresso Machine
Had it for at least two weeks and never got the Espresso to have cream on top. So therefore I really wanted
To be sure I got it right. Fifteen years ago I had a Saeco they made Espresso machine for Starbucks, I loved that machine. So i looked At Saeco brand and found They had bought Gaggia and Philips bought them.
So I looked to see if they had any like the Espresso I had, and Gaggia had this, I emailed customer support and got a really nice Lady Maggie, told her what I was looking for a Espresso machine like
Starbucks, she said yes this is like it. So I bought it on Amazon, best price anywhere.
When I received it was easy to set up and easy to use. I had cream the first time I ever used it.
If you want an easy and A wonderful machine you won’t be disappointed. And wonderful help!
They have been in business for 75 years. And it’s made in Italy! A Win Win
Real espresso anyone?
I just got back from Italy and admittedly don't drink coffee like Americans...big mugs of liquid consumed throughout the day for a continual caffeine fix. Having said that I live in Seattle and know good coffee. So I wanted to be able to replicate REAL espresso for a morning double shot that I could enjoy in the Italian way...on my deck with a morning pastry. I blew through plenty of Amazon espresso machines that bragged about bars and features and they only made...strong coffee. Tampers that supposedly made the coffee stronger by forcing more into the portafilter. Even the stovetop Bialetti, which IN ITALY they told me does not make espresso, only strong coffee. I finally bought the Classic Pro Gaggia on Amazon (I live walking distance from Amazon here in Seattle so trust them implicitly for everything I need) and now have perfect espresso, a double shot, each morning... made with either Lavazza coffee beans I grind ahead of time (on Amazon) or San Francisco Bay Decaf when I want a decaf with real flavor (on Amazon or at Costco). Not only does the machine make REAL espresso but the customer service help is beyond belief...they fielded all my technique calls and answered questions cheerfully and rapidly so that I felt I really had a helper in my learning curve (which didn't involve the machine...only my grinds and technique). Forget all the gadgets and the Chinese made machines...get an Italian machine and go ahead and make American drinks with it, but start with a real espresso when you do.
Best Espresso Machine!!
This has change everyone's out about coffee in household!! Lattes every morning. The best thing about the machine is, having the ability to upgrade all of the internals to meet whatever level of great tasting coffee suits your needs!! It works flawlessly!! I would suggest it to anyone.
A Modders Paradise
If you're still unsure about getting this espresso machine, let me tell you why you need this if you're looking for something long term. This machine is basically a modders paradise. You can upgrade parts internally and externally to make for the perfect espresso machine. I go to Shades Of Coffee for all my modding accessories and have made this into my perfect personal machine.
AMAZING
I’ve had this espresso maker for about 6 months now. I had researched everywhere and saved up for a WHILE, and decided to go for this one. I have made SOOOO many lattes and cappuccinos and every single shot I pull is full of crema. Easy to clean (so far), and doesn’t make mess. Like a lot of people, I do wish that the handle part of the portafilter had some more weight to it. Nothing has broken yet and I hope it stays that way!
