 Reasonable and reliable espresso maker
This is the second machine purchased after years of constant use. We moved and didn't realize how bad the water was which is why we repurchased. Only fault is not a bigger frothing option, doesn't make as much if you are a frothed milk lover. Good and reliable. Would recommend to anyone.

Great Espresso!
After having some bad luck with a previous Espresso maker that leaked, we found this great little machine at a very reasonable price. Since we don't have a lot of counter space, we needed something small, and this machine fit the bill taking up only an 8x10.5 inch space. It is super simple to use and makes a great cup of espresso with frothed milk. It comes with easily readable instructions that also include recipes for a variety of coffee drinks. And it is very easy to clean. We love it!

Great affordable machine
Great affordable machine for making expresso shots or lattes. I noticed a couple of improvements with the newer machine. The drip tray is no longer the metal tray, but a plastic tray that is much easier to clean. The steam wand also appears to have a slightly different design that appears to be a little sturdier. I looked at many different models/brands before ordering a replacement and kept going back to this model due to my familiarity with Cuisinart and the service I had received out of the first unit.

BEWARE OF CUSINART AND CONAIR
This used to be about the best bang for the buck espresso machine out there. I owned my fist one for over 10 years before I finally wore the thing out. In one year I went through 5 of of them. The customer service was God awful the worst experience. Rude unhelpful and I have two broken ones sitting in my garage because I can’t get then repaired or replaced. Buy a Breville.

Very Satisfied Customer
I received my Cuisinart Manual Espresso Maker yesterday. I LOVE it! I cannot believe I lived with my small Mr Coffee Espresso Machine for so long (used it until it died). No more pouring in water, screwing a cap and waiting 10 minutes for the pressure to build. Push the button, wait a few seconds and Viola! A great cup of espresso with enough crema! It makes a FANTASTIC cup of cappuccino! I love the fact that it has a reservoir for storing water, a nice and easy clean up tray and three different sized cups to hold the grinds. Still getting used to the frother as the button for the steam and hot water can be a little tricky. I tried three times to froth milk and ended up watery and couldn't figure out why. It took my 14 year old son to point it out that I had it turned to the hot water side instead of the steam. lol. I have NO complaints about this machine. I just wish it came with a pot to catch the coffee in instead of placing a cup under it. Would recommended to anyone who wants a great cup of espresso or cappuccino at a DESCENT price. I mean $120 is much better than $1000's for the more expensive machines and beats 4 Euro for a small little cup at a cafe! If you want great espresso, you will not be disappointed!

Definitely recommend this Cuisinart EM-100!
I received a Cuisinart EM-100 as a gift because I love lattes but was spending a fortune on them. It was purchased from a department store at Christmas time. I make them at home now and I like the lattes I make at home better than the ones I can buy from various coffee shops. The EM-100 wand fell off just after the warranty (3 years) passed. Cuisinart was nice to enough to "repair" it if I sent it back to them and gave them $10.00, even though it was just barely out of warranty, which I did. And they sent me a new one! What wonderful customer service! In the meantime I purchased one from Amazon and it also had the same problem just outside of 3 years. The wand on the 2nd one is almost ready to fall off and steam is escaping around it, even with gentle treatment. Even with this problem it saved me a lot of time stopping off to get one and because they are more economical to make at home plus they taste better to me. I would definitely recommend it!

Give credit where credit is due.....
I purchased this machine 3/2011. I thought it was failing, but it turns out that I was running it on the steam setting, oopps. Anyway, I started looking to purchase a new one. Probably another one of these. A less than 4 star rating is certainly not deserved. Mine has been running like a champ for almost 5 years and I have hard well water and probably don't clean it as often as one should. I paid less than $120 so I didn't expect it to last at all. The delonghi I had before died in less than two years. With that said when you fill the tank it does tend to spill out the bottom a bit initially.... so you may end up with some water on your counter. It is also a little noisy. Big deal. So to all the poor reviews/reviewers.... if thats a deal breaker go buy a expensive machine. Although I think you may still have problems. If the grind is too fine or you tamp it down too much, yes the machine may struggle, but come on people. I believe most of the poor reviews for this espresso maker are user error.
