Best shoe ever. Adidas is still batting 1000 with this gem. The enlarged tongue keeps itself in place and provides a bit of protection when walking. The sole is padded just enough to make it comfortable. And the price is unbeatable for the quality.

Incredibly comfortable sneakers, great for indoor soccer and everyday wear. When i joined an indoor soccer team, i needed soccer shoes, and these came highly recommended (i had been wearing the superstar 2gs as my 'everyday' shoe for over a decade, which are comfortable but not a great choice for soccer. ) well, it took a couple days to get used to the way this shoe felt, but once i did, i honestly have to say that not only is it great for soccer, but it is even more comfortable than the superstar 2gs to wear as an everyday shoe. I was so impressed by how comfortable this shoe was that after owning it for a mere week, i bought a second pair of sambas in black so that i would have it in both colors. I don't think i am going back to any other sneaker -- this is definitely the most comfortable shoe i have ever personally worn, and that's good enough for me.
I will note that the shoe laces are on the short side, and i have considered getting longer ones, but i have made due with the ones that it came with so far. Other than that, i have had no problem with this shoe and i hope that adidas keeps making them so that i can keep buying them.

Comfortable and sexy. I have never owned some sambas but i really liked the look of them. I thus went out on a limb and purchased a pair. I ordered my usual size (11. 5) which luckily fit just fine.
A lot of people have said they run small but my size fit perfectly. These shoes seem very sturdy. I am the type that has one main pair of shoes that i wear for almost everything every day. These shoes are them. Aside from very minimal wear that is showing, these shoes continue to look great and hold up well.
Timeless classic. Timeless classic. I know they make the sambas with short tongues, but i like these better. Great fit, comfy, and stylish. What more can you ask for?.

What is there to say about these shoes besides the fact that they're very comfortable, feel great (redundancy), and look good?. What else do you say about shoes?. Did i mention that these shoes feel great on the feet, as they would feel anywhere else?. $40 or so for a great pair of shoes, very good deal. ) anyway, wearing them with a pair of shorts is fine, but if you're vain when it comes to your legs or you're not quite ready to let your friends know that you too shave the fuzz from your legs, wear these originals with a pair of trousers, khaki or gray, whatever you're feeling.
The shoes are casually athletic, like white guys who say, 'yeah, i play soccer' but in fact have never played soccer for a recreational team and have little-to-none-at-all knowledge about the sport, but the idea sounds good. And after you wipe your forehead and throw your short bangs back, covered in sweat, after you trot over to the sideline, breathing hard, grab a towel, wipe yourself off, sit down in the grass and not the bleachers (on purpose, of course; athletes don't sit in seating apparatuses), take off those hopefully-filthy cleats and slip on these cool-as-hell vintage shoes. Please, wear these shoes with a sense of honor: be yourself, and for god's sakes, don't pop your collar. I bought these shoes for my 10 year old son 10 months ago. This is the only pair of everyday shoes that has truly held up to the point that he's grown out of them.
Many miles still left in these shoes. Awesome shoe - cool style, great performance, tough as nails. These are comfortable shoes, but order large if you don't have really narrow feet - i ordered a half size up, and they are still so small that i need to return them. I have been wearing the classic samba shoe for over twenty years. If adidas keeps making sambas i will probably keep wearing them until i'm 100 years old - and god willing - still able to kick a soccer ball around with my great great grand kids. Good shoes, however there is a built in arch support that if you do not have a high arch can take some getting used to.
Great pair of shoes l, will probaby buy again once these wear out. I am very happy with these shoes so far, i have worn them about only two weeks now daily but they are very comfortable and awesome altogether. It's probably because my feet are wider and larger in general than others' (i'm a big guy -->big feet), i'd recommend getting these in the size you usually get shoes in, especially if you're not a big guy, for any big guys, but only bigger guys really, i'd recommend thinking about a size larger but of course it's usually a safe bet to just get your size first and then return them if they don't fit. Best to take the effort and get a well fitting pair, these shoes are promising, hope they'll last for a long time. On a sidenote, i read in some reviews that there are the actual original adidas samba classic's, and then there are the 'original' adidas samba classic's, the second being these shoes and a sort of modernized version of the old ones.
They're basically the same exact shoes, just the insoles have the little bump in the middle for arch support. It's definitely noticeable, so if you're looking for not having the arch support thing then go for the actual original, older style shoes, otherwise i'd actually recommend these because i like the arch support, i don't need it but it does help in term of comfort. There is one thing, these shoes are pretty squeaky once you break them in so don't expect to be a ninja wearing them. I use these shoes for tai chi. I wear dress shoes at least 5 days a week so i rarely wear these. If you don't like arch support, then this shoe is not for you. The shoes are a bit loose but not uncomfortably. Otherwise, i like theses shoes a lot so far. I have had these shoes for four (4) years thus far, and they have been through thick and thin.

I know a fair bit about soccer shoes and how they should feel, and for $40 these shoes are great performers. They are also one of the few soccer shoes that you can wear outside without being embarrassed; one can even say they are stylish. *gasp*anyways, these shoes get you an incredible bang for the buck, and you can take those 5 stars to the bank on that. They're comfortable shoes.
